These services are open 24/7 and answer faster than any email can. Use them first — you can always come back and tell us afterwards.
City Reach Foundation is a Gold Coast charity that connects people to practical support — food, shelter, emergency relief, family support, and community care. We run our own programs, and we work alongside the wider network of agencies and charities responding to need across the city.
Tell us what's going on. We'll point you to the right door — ours, or someone else's. Either way, you don't have to figure it out alone.
Share what you're comfortable with. We'll come back to you with options — whether that's our own programs, a partner agency, or a recommended next step.
City Reach is in its founding season — some of our own programs are already supporting people, others launch over the coming year. Where we can't help directly, we'll connect you to a partner who can. You only need to ask once.
Emergency food parcels, pantry support, fresh produce. We connect you to active food programs across the Gold Coast network while our own pantry comes online.
Our Winter Initiative launches 1 June 2026 — a coordinated overnight shelter response. For shelter need before then, we can refer you to existing services on the Coast.
Practical material aid — utility assistance, household essentials, hygiene supplies. We help where we can, and connect you to specialist agencies when they're a better fit.
Discreet, practical support for people fleeing or recovering from DV. We work alongside specialist DV services and can help with starter packs, household setup, and safe referral.
Care4Kids supports Gold Coast families with school essentials each January. Through the year, we connect families to the right services for childcare, education, and family hardship.
Tell us what's going on. The Gold Coast has a strong network of agencies, councils, and charities — if your need doesn't fit neatly into a box above, we'll still help you find the right door.
Takes a couple of minutes. Tell us what's happening, what kind of help you're looking for, and roughly where you are on the Coast. You don't need to share more than you're comfortable with. Or email us directly at hello@cityreach.org.au if you'd rather.
When you submit, you'll get an automatic confirmation email so you know we've received it. After that, a real person from City Reach follows up within these timeframes — based on what you told us is going on:
| If you selected | Real person responds within |
|---|---|
| Domestic violence support | 4 hours during waking hours (faster if you're in immediate danger) |
| Family or kids support | 4 hours during waking hours |
| Shelter or homelessness | 24 hours |
| Emergency relief | 24 hours |
| Food relief | 48 hours |
| Not sure / general | 48 hours |
The right person on our team is the one who'll be in touch — our Safeguarding Lead for DV and family/kids matters, our Managing Director for emergency and shelter, our Secretary for food relief.
If we're connecting you to a partner, we'll tell you who to ask for, what to mention, and what to expect. If we're helping directly, we'll set up the next conversation. The goal is movement — not paperwork.
What you share with us is held with care. We don't sell, share, or surface information beyond what's needed to connect you to support. If we refer you to a partner agency, we ask before passing along any details.
People reach out to us at very different points. Some are in crisis. Some are watching the cost of living tighten and not sure where to turn. Some have been holding it together for months and are quietly running out of room. Some are reaching out for someone else — a friend, a family member, a person they pass each day.
All of those are reasons to send the form. We don't run a means test, we don't gatekeep, we don't ask you to prove anything before we read the message. The only thing we'll ever ask is what's going on and how we can help.
If you're not sure whether City Reach is the right place — ask anyway. If we're not the right fit, we'll connect you to someone who is. The Gold Coast has more support than people realise. The hard part is usually finding the door, and that's the part we'll help with.
